I am so happy you are here; it tells me that you are probably having a baby soon or thinking about it and starting to look for education classes, etc. I'll be the first to tell you, if you haven't discovered already, that there is a LOT of information out there pertaining to everything OB. There are tons of classes, videos, handouts, and everything in-between, but my approach is a little different, So let me introduce myself:

My name is Amanda, and I am the owner of Sunshine Support.

I have been working in Labor & Delivery as a Registered Nurse for about 7 years now, and have worked in the medical field as a whole, for almost 14 years. My passion lies within labor and delivery, but I have also worked in both post-partum & nursery units. I LOVE to educate. Especially a first-time set of parents. I found that time and time again, my patients were lacking even basic physiological education. Most of the time Education gets left out or brushed over quickly; I don't feel it is intentional, but rather OB providers just simply do not have the time to educate in-depth, with each individual patient. We all know how waiting at an OB appointment goes, or you soon will! On the other hand, sometimes patients feel intimidated asking questions, so they end up Googling things, or asking friends- and that’ll just get you down a deep rabbit hole. There is so much information to learn about from conception to birth, and beyond. So that's basically how I developed Sunshine Support. I want to educate, support and advocate for YOU! My approach is a personalized education and support system. I don't have a big binder of paperwork to send you, or pre-recorded lectures, PowerPoints or videos. I simply want to have personalized chats with you and your support people and educate you directly. Let YOU ask questions. Let YOU guide the learning. Let YOU take a break when needed. I also want to be your phone-a-friend, to support you. You will gain the ability to contact me 24/7, with questions, concerns, or if you're just needing a pep-talk. I want you to walk into the hospital/your Birthing place to have your baby/babies feeling confident and comfortable! I don’t want you to just walk in blindly and then end up getting bombarded with information or decisions to make, without any background education. I have a plethora of knowledge and experience with all kinds of patients, medical problems, preferences, and situations.

My Services include, but are not limited to:

For $422 you'll get:

1 meet n greet phone call or video chat-where we would introduce ourselves formally and set a date for the next sessions. (~15 min)

Up to 3 hours of education time, divided into 4 sessions. Each session will cover trimester-specific topics, plus any specific questions/concerns:

*1st trimester: conception to 12 weeks

*2nd trimester: 13-27

*3rd trimester: 28-40+

*4th trimester: birth-12 weeks post-partum (We will schedule within the first 6 weeks post-partum)

Assistance with a Birth Plan/Preference Guideline, if you'd like one

Assistance with getting your Birth Story written out, if interested

*(You would be responsible for jotting down times of things or keeping me up to date throughout the process)

Unlimited text support from me, 24/7, from date of hire through the 4th trimester. I'll have a 4-hour max window of getting back to you if it's

non-emergent. (We will discuss emergent situations and if you have the need to reach me promptly)
